The admin of life gets an agent: consumers delegate bills, claims and bureaucracy
Personal AI agents now negotiate bills, file insurance claims and chase refunds for millions of users, and companies are re-engineering around machine customers.

AMSTERDAM — Millions of consumers have quietly hired their first employee: a personal AI agent that cancels forgotten subscriptions, disputes billing errors, files insurance claims and waits on hold so no human ever has to again.
The asymmetry the tools exploit is stark — companies long profited from friction that exhausted human persistence, and agentic persistence is infinite. Refund and retention economics, several telecom and insurance firms admit, are being rebuilt around customers who never give up.
The counter-move is already visible: firms deploying their own service agents so that machine negotiates with machine — resolving in seconds, both sides logging everything, disputes settling on documented facts. Some friction, it turns out, existed only because humans could be worn down.
