Under-triage, the dangerous error of sending a sick patient home, runs measurably below historical telephone-triage baselines, regulators report, while a third of routine queries resolve without consuming clinical appointments at all.
Clinicians' unions, initially wary, have shifted to negotiating over the technology's dividend: whether freed hours become shorter waits for patients or shorter rosters for staff.
